What can a Brooklyn Prosthodontist offer you?
Prosthodontics is one of nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association. A prosthodontist is a dentist, with an additional three years of post-graduate training beyond dental school.
During their advanced training program prosthodontists learn how to restore overall form and function of the orofacial structures. In other words, prosthodontists fully rehabilitate both the function and aesthetics of your smile.
Prosthodontists are experts in cosmetics, dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, temporomandibular disorders (TMJ/TMD), and more. Some prosthetic cases can be incredibly complex and involve collaboration with other dental and medical specialists.
Should I see a Prosthodontist?
- Do you have jaw pain or have you been told you have TMD / TMJ Problems?
- Do you have any missing teeth?
- Do you need multiple teeth restored or fixed?
- Do your teeth bother you during biting/chewing or when you open or close your mouth?
If you answer ‘Yes’ to any of the questions, a prosthodontist is recommended to assess any potential issues you may have.
